Did Taylor Swift Take A Time Machine Back To The 90's?

So, if you're one of the many people out there that has dowloaded/bought Taylor Swift's new album, "Red", you've definitely come across the song "Sad, Beautiful, Tragic". Listening to this song, I couldn't help but feel like this is a song that was ripped from the 90's. Taylor's voice remains fairly calm and low throughout the track, which calls to mind performances heard from Liz Phair or even Shirley Manson of Garbage (at least when it comes to the more ballad-like tracks from the group). The instrumentals consist mostly of a simple guitar that begins to approach a more country-style sound, but really never gets there. The song as a whole comes to mind of what we heard on 90's alternative radio back in the day. This song is definitely worth a listen, as it's somewhat of a different departure for Swift, then again much of "Red" plays out that way. See if you agree by listening to a chunk below.
